Caregiver / Personal Support WorkerHN (Aldergrove)

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver / Personal Support Worker to support a female individual who uses a wheelchair. The role focuses on assisting with daily living tasks, mobility, and personal care while fostering independence and maintaining a safe, comfortable, and respectful home environment. The ideal candidate is patient, professional, and adaptable with strong communication and interpersonal skills. This role requires the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with the individual, family members, and the support team, as well as complete daily documentation. The successful candidate will be able to provide attentive care both independently and as part of a small, supportive team. Key Responsibilities - Provide personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, toileting) - Assist with mobility and safe transfers using wheelchairs and other devices - Prepare nutritious meals and provide feeding assistance - Perform housekeeping and laundry duties - Accompany the individual to appointments, community events, church, and other preferred activities - Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and appropriate boundaries at all times Qualifications - Minimum 1 year of experience in caregiving, health care assistance, or home support (preferred) - Knowledge of secure lifting and transfer techniques - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Dependable, empathetic, respectful and person centered approach to care - Current First Aid/CPR certification - A valid driver's license is required, as this role involves supporting the individual with community access and transportation Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Pay: $276.00-$324.00 per day Application question(s): - This role includes 24-hour-live-in shifts ( sleep time included).
