We are actively recruiting for 3-4 Personal Support Workers to assist a private male employer with quadriplegia with complex care and all activities of daily living. The ideal candidates will be organized, tidy, and willing to adapt and try new ways of completing tasks as well as willing to take instructions from the employer and his parents. They will also be encouraging, have a positive outlook, be punctual and a positive listener. No heavy perfumes due to sensitivity to scents and a non-smoker. Start Date: June 1, 2026 Location: - Surrey, BC (Near Cloverdale) Shifts and hours: - Saturday and Sunday - 7:00am to 10:00am - Saturday and Sunday - 10:00pm to Midnight (Flexible times) - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 9:30pm to 11:30pm Compensation: - $25.00 to $26.00 an hour Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to): - Daily personal care such as quadriplegic care (autonomic dysreflexia, high blood pressure) personal hygiene, showering, bathing, bed baths, grooming, skin care, dressing, bowel routines; suppository and digital stimulation, supra-pubic catheter care. - Range of motion exercises - Overhead lifts and manual pivot transfers - Meal preparation - Medication administration - Light housekeeping and room use clean up - Assistance with rugby gear as needed - Driving employer to appointments, practice and rugby - Assistance with watering, feeding and walking the employers Husky Required Qualifications: - Experience with complex care such as bowel care and supra-pubic catheter care an asset - Must have all basic vaccinations including COVID-19 (Mumps, Measles, Rubella, etc) - Must not wear any heavy perfume due to sensitivities - Must be a non smoker - Must be comfortable working in an environment with a Husky - Must be comfortable with personal care i.e. showering, sponge baths and catheter care Pay: $25.00-$26.00 per hour Application question(s): - Which shifts in the ad are you available for? - Do you smoke? - Will you be driving or taking transit? - Please provide the best email to contact you on. - What is your status in Canada?
