Accounts & Finance Manager (Newton)

Role Summary The Accounts & Finance Manager at NCS Fluid Handling Systems is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, including accounting, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting. This role plays a key part in supporting operational efficiency and profitability within a project-based fluid handling and equipment-focused environment, ensuring accurate financial management across projects, inventory, and day-to-day business activities. Key Responsibilities: · Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions · Oversee and process payroll, ensuring compliance with Canadian regulations and timely, accurate payments · Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports · Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, with a focus on project costing and operational performance · Track and analyze job/project costs, margins, and profitability across fluid handling system installations and services · Monitor inventory valuation, costing, and reconciliation related to parts, equipment, and systems · Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls · Coordinate and support external audits and year-end processes · Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital requirements · Identify and implement process improvements across accounting systems and reporting workflows. · Develop and maintain internal controls and document financial procedures. · Partner with operations and leadership to provide financial insights that support decision-making and business growth · Supervise and support administrative or accounting staff, as applicable Competencies & Qualifications Required: · Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field · CPA designation or working toward designation is preferred · 3–7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, ideally in manufacturing, industrial, or project-based environments · Experience with payroll processing in a Canadian context · Solid understanding of inventory accounting and job costing · Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills · Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central, ERP systems is an asset · Must be comfortable working in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated finance skilled to contribute significantly to our organization’s success through strategic financial management.
