Ophthalmic Technician Medical Assistant, Edmonton

Join our healthcare team as an Ophthalmic Technician and Medical Office Assistant. This in-person role requires strong communication skills and exceptional patient care from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Office Assistant to support our eye care clinic. In this position, you'll manage front desk operations, assist Ophthalmologists during procedures, and handle various clerical tasks. You’ll thrive in a dynamic environment, utilizing electronic medical records and providing patient-centered service.

Key Responsibilities:• Operate and maintain ophthalmic equipment for eye examinations • Prepare patients for examinations and surgeries effectively • Measure and record visual acuity and color vision • Assist with laser treatments and minor surgical procedures • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe examination room

Requirements:• MOA certification or relevant experience required • Strong knowledge of medical terminology • Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn new software • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications required
