At Edmonton Base Lab, a CPSA-accredited laboratory, you will engage in a rewarding role focused on diverse specimen grossing and training for residents and staff. This part-time position requires collaboration with pathologist medical staff to ensure quality patient care and uphold best practices. You'll expand your expertise through participation in collaborative rounds and teaching opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:• Perform gross examination of biopsy and surgical specimens • Document, dissect, and select sections for processing • Collaborate closely with pathologists on tissue examination • Mentor residents and medical students effectively • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:• Master's Degree in Pathologists' Assistant or equivalent • Eligible for CCCPA certification • Recent experience grossing complex specimens • Knowledge of Epic - Beaker or DMO preferred • Criminal record check required
