Description
Wood is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Designer to join our Canada Projects business delivering some of the world’s boldest and most critical projects. The position is hybrid and based in Calgary or Edmonton, AB.

The Role The successful candidate will support the Oil&Gas Canada team with electrical design, working in a multidisciplinary environment. You will contribute to project delivery, ensuring compliance with electrical safety and code requirements while collaborating closely with consulting and operations colleagues.

Expected

Diploma in Electrical Engineering Design Technology or similar.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in electrical design.

Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Smart Plant Electrical, PDMS, Auto Plant, E3D.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to work effectively in a team environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with electrical safety and code compliance requirements.
