Medical Office Assistant (Edmonton)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities - Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner at the front desk - Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently - Maintain and update electronic medical records using Healthquest - Verify insurance information and process billing or payments as needed - Answer multi-line phone systems, direct calls, and handle patient inquiries - Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence - Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and office policies - Support the clinical team by preparing patient charts and documentation Skills - Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system- Healthquest - Robust knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology - Experience working in a Medical Office or healthcare administrative environment - Familiarity with front desk operations, multi-line phone systems, and office equipment - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment - Demonstrated administrative experience in healthcare settings is highly desirable Job Type: Permanent Pay: $17.00-$18.40 per hour Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pj25w
