Registered Dietitian (Edmonton)

We are seeking a passionate Registered Dietitian who is available part time or full-time, including weekends and/or weekday afternoons and evenings. Key Responsibilities - Nutritional Assessment and Counseling: Evaluating patients' nutritional status to identify deficiencies or health risks and providing counseling to achieve goals. - Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT): Developing, implementing, and managing dietary plans and specialized diets (e.g., tube feeding) in clinical settings like hospitals or nursing homes. - Health Education: Delivering group nutrition education and promoting healthy eating habits in communities, schools, and workplaces. - Food Management: Overseeing food service systems to ensure nutritional quality, safety, and compliance with regulations. - Research and Policy: Conducting research, advancing nutrition science, and contributing to food and nutrition policies. ALIS +4 Key Skills and Requirements - Education: A bachelor's or master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field, often requiring accredited internship training. - Credentials: Registration or licensure with a provincial regulatory body (e.g., Registered Dietitian). - Competencies: Strong knowledge of biology and chemistry, combined with excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
