You and your team will support multiple projects in accounting and finance related functions. Youu2019ll serve as a trusted advisor to both operations managers and executive management. The Senior Financial Analyst position requires strong leadership skills, relentless ambition for continuous improvement, and polished technical and soft skills. **District Overview** Kiewit Energy Canada is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. We are a major industrial contractor that work on projects that involve construction of oil & gas facilities such as oil sands processing, including steamu2013assisted gravity drainage facilities, upgrading & refining, midstream facilities, power & co-generation, terminal projects (ex. LNG, LPG, etc.), and major mine developments. We also have a Modular Yard facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Our engineering branch is a leading-edge division that offers innovative engineering services for our current projects and new pursuits in Canada. Our design services group are based in Calgary and Houston offering expertise in process, piping, mechanical, electrical, and civil/structural disciplines. **Location** This position will be located in our Calgary, AB office. **Responsibilities** u2022 Analyze and effectively communicate financial results of projects to upper-level management. u2022 Earn trust, credibility, and buy-in of processes from Operations team to create better cohesion and clear communication within the organization. u2022 Train, develop, and grow a team of finance professionals. u2022 Develop and maintain budget and cost reports, earned value analyses, and project profit projections. u2022 Assist in the tracking of project change orders and development of projections. u2022 Assist project managers with development of project procedures. u2022 Drive continuous improvement throughout the organization and is a proponent for positive change. u2022 Effectively use the right data, reports, and tools for risk analysis and benchmarking. u2022 Review all project and estimate cash flows, contract terms, and change orders in detail for financial risks and opportunities. u2022 Understand the needs of the organization and bring in high quality talent. u2022 Responsible for client billing and revenue collection. **Qualifications** u2022 5+ years of financial/data analysis or public accounting experience u2022 3+ years of proven experience in the Construction Industry preferred u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or an equivalent degree u2022 Proven track record of successfully developing or managing a team u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite required u2022 SAP and PowerBI experience preferred u2022 Effective communication (both oral and written), organization, and interpersonal skills.
