Respite Caregiver Personal Support Worker Sel Cloverdale

We are actively recruiting for a Respite Caregiver to support a nonverbal female in your own personal home three weekends a month with all activities of daily living. The successful candidate will need to have a wheelchair accessible house as she is wheelchair bound and will also require a private room for her to sleep. She enjoys dancing, listening to music and singing. Location: Cloverdale, BC (Near Cloverdale Rodeo) Shifts and Hours: Respite 3 weekends per month Friday to Monday Start 2:00pm Friday and finish 10:00am Monday May need to pick her up from her day program @3:30pm. Compensation $700 per weekend (From Friday to Monday) Responsibilities (but not limited to): All activities of daily living such as full support with hygiene and personal care Assistance with cooking and feeding Going into the community for activities Assistance during the night when needed, she typically sleeps through the night but may require occasional assistance. (She has not been sleeping lately, so the respite worker may experience broken sleep) She is nonverbal and communicates through facial expressions and noises Qualifications Must have a wheelchair accessible home as she is wheelchair bound Must have a private room for her sleep Valid Driver's License preferred Valid First Aid is required Preference for caregiver of Christian faith or open to it Must be able to be part of a team and work along side the family Pay: $700.00 per week Application question(s): Yes or No: Are you comfortable assisting with all personal hygiene and care?
