Senior Civil Engineer with ML Programming Expertise (Edmonton)

We are currently looking for a senior civil engineer who enjoys various innovative technical challenges to join our Edmonton Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking or contributing to diverse civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering projects focusing on Machine Learning (ML) using Python Programming language. Requirements A minimum of 5 years (preferably 10+ or 15+ years) of hands‑on practical experience in civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering. Master's Degree is required. A Ph.D. degree is a valuable asset. Dams and hydroelectric industry experience is required. Oil and gas industry experience is required. Experience with concrete mix design is required. Experience with specialty concrete such as RCC (Roller Compacted Concrete) and High Strength Concrete is a valuable asset. Experience with concrete research and development is a very valuable asset. Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence programming using Python is a valuable asset. Forensic Engineering experience is a valuable asset. Quality Assurance and Quality Control experience is a very valuable asset. Frozen Ground Engineering and Permafrost experience is a very valuable asset. Mentorship and training experience is a valuable asset. Bid document and Research Proposal document preparation are valuable assets. Competency in using AutoCAD, ETABS, SAP, ANSYS, and SECURE is required. Personal Attributes Be a good leader, and more importantly, be a valuable follower and listener. Be honest and trustworthy. Experience in laboratory testing of soils, rock, concrete, oil sand, tailings, and asphalt is an asset. Other Requirements Proficient in using Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
