Clark Builders is hiring a Project Manager, Architectural Cladding in Edmonton to support projects across all operational business units. Responsibilities
Lead and ensure all operational standards and processes are achieved, ensuring efficiency, consistency and excellence. Build and develop operations talent and cultural management, supporting a work environment that encourages learning and professional growth. Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and lean culture through best practices, training and development of all staff members. Participate and review Project Execution and Quality Control (QC) plans with the Project Superintendent (PS). Serve as liaison with architects, consultants, suppliers, inspectors and owner representatives to resolve issues related to plans and specifications. Oversee and make decisions related to contract drawings and subcontract information, ensuring drawings accurately reflect estimates. Manage the project budget, including invoice reviews, claim submittals, and long‑lead procurement. Prepare and present Project Status Reports. Manage submittals, shop drawings, and resolve conflicts in interpretation. Log, manage, and resolve change orders identified on the Constraint Log. Conduct QC inspections to ensure installations match contract documents and approved shop drawings. Communicate critical path and coordination risks affecting the project schedule. Prepare and manage the Long‑Lead Matrix. Support the Building Living Injury Free Every Day (L.I.F.E.) practice on the project. Hold regular check‑in meetings with direct reports. Develop reports such as General Conditions Items, labor, safety, change order logs, and QC. Handle all aspects of project close‑out, including training, inspections, turnover, and warranty. Chair meetings, issue minutes, and follow up on action items. Develop strategies to deliver results on project performance goals and satisfaction conditions. Provide elevated client care and services to ensure the highest value to clients. Support and grow ongoing sub‑trade and client relationships. Coordinate with suppliers for ordering and delivery, working with the Project Management team. Assist the Project Development team with securing Architectural Cladding building opportunities. Participate in material procurement for envelope scopes such as membrane, insulation, and wall cladding. Lead leadership development and training of project team. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, diploma or 2‑year certificate in a construction‑related discipline. 5+ years experience as a Project Manager, managing commercial, industrial or institutional buildings with a focus on building envelope scopes. Understanding of various construction contracts, including design‑build. Experience managing the entire construction process from startup to close‑out. Team‑player mindset with robust knowledge of building envelope construction. Familiarity with Lean thinking, collaborative planning, and continuous improvement. Experience with Last Planner® System, SAP, Procore® Construction Management Software are assets. Skills & Knowledge
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Analytical thinker able to interpret complex information and recommend innovative solutions. Capable of making complex, ambiguous and risk‑averse decisions. Proactive approach to prevention and resolution of conflicts. Ability to read, understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
