Overview

As a Senior Account Manager, Commercial Banking at National Bank, you will be responsible for growing the portfolio of business clients entrusted to you. Your role includes identifying and developing business opportunities in your market, increasing your clientele, and establishing business development strategies. You will help clients achieve their business objectives by proposing financial strategies that combine the most appropriate bank products and services, adapt and optimise financial products and advice to meet changing needs, and negotiate terms and conditions with clients while ensuring compliance with risk‑management standards and profitability criteria. You will manage a portfolio of clients covering the Edmonton region and work in a hybrid environment, splitting time between the office, client visits, networking events, and working from home. Your work will be coordinated with other bank departments and supported by specialists such as Financing Solutions Managers.Responsibilities

Identify and develop business opportunities in your market, increase the business clientele and establish business development strategies. Help clients achieve their business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on the most appropriate combination of bank products and services. Meet clients' changing needs by adapting and optimising financial products and advice/approaches.Negotiate the terms and conditions of agreements with clients, while ensuring that they comply with risk‑management standards and profitability criteria. Develop business development plans. Assist the Team Lead of Commercial Banking in achieving objectives. Actively participate in various networking activities (cocktail parties, conferences, etc.).Work in synergy with all other bank departments. Qualifications

Based on your academic background:

University certificate and 9 years of experience Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience Master's degree and 5 years of experience

Experience in analysing financial statements. Experience in commercial credit. Experience in sales and business development. A network of professional contacts among medium‑sized and large local businesses (major asset). Benefits
