Student Accounting Assistant

Internship and co‑op role designed to provide a business‑relevant project that allows independent management of responsibilities with support from a supervisor and technical mentor. Duration: 4 or 8 months starting September2026. Location: Edmonton, Alberta. Responsibilities

Process project accounts receivable and accounts payable, including preparing billings, backup documentation, and entering payables. Investigate purchase order discrepancies, respond to inquiries, and communicate with Project Managers regarding contract documents, change orders, approvals, and additional billing services.Ensure month‑end deadlines and reporting requirements are met and resolve inconsistencies with Project Managers. Follow up on payment certifications, initiate new project set‑ups for Controller review, and uphold compliance with CSOX and IFRS. File and manage project records, prepare purchase orders, andtrack purchases to the proper charge codes.Assist with quarterly financial forecasts, annual budget preparation, and ad‑hoc accounting tasks as assigned. Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program (degree, diploma, or certificate) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Will complete at least one more semester after the internship and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast‑changing environment and build positive relationships.Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; sense of urgency and commitment to goals. Valid residency or work permit that allows employment in Alberta. If selected for a safety‑sensitive position, must successfully complete medical and/or alcohol&drug testing.
