We currently have a permanent full-time position available for a Broker Experience Trainer/Auditor in our Edmonton office. Reporting to the Manager, Broker Experience, the successful candidate in this position will provide underwriting and technical training to our Broker partners and internally as related to phiX/phiX+ (the company’s portals) primarily. Training consists of all aspects of the integration between the BMS’s/Rating Software and the portal. More specifically: What You’ll Do: - Develop and maintain training materials, class content, and supporting documentation to allow for successful training of our broker partners; - Auditing the brokers’ use of the portal and adherence to corporate guidelines; - Coordinate and schedule training of brokers and internal staff on the use of phiX/phiX+; - Maintaining any accreditation requirements for training materials, issue any certifications required for accreditation requirements; - Liaise with the Broker Experience Advisors and Corporate Underwriting on the development and improvements required for phiX/phiX+ and their adherence to our corporate guidelines and processes; - Communication of audit results to the various underwriting departments; - Tracking of and follow up to any audit results or actions needed; - Communication of changes and training updates to our Broker Experience Advisors to ensure broker support is as accurate and effective as possible; - Provide support for and serve on special project committees as initiated by the company; - Broker surveys relating to phiX/phiX+: sending out, follow up, compiling and delivering results to the underwriting departments and management; - Various other duties as required. What You’ll Bring: - Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Underwriting or Claims role; - Equivalent industry experience will be considered; - CIP/FCIP designation (or working towards) would be an asset; - Understanding of the industry and area of service; - Knowledge of underwriting risks and risk management; - Experience and interest in working with technology and automation; - Commitment to providing excellent customer service; - High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts; - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present; - Strong analytical thinking; - Planning, prioritization and execution skills; - Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and accountability; - Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe products and e-mail required; - Confident with decision making in regard to determining project guidelines, purpose, following through and completion; - Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or with others; Ability to respond appropriately in pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanor; - Effective time management skills, including working with high volume and conflicting priorities; - Guidewire experience will be considered an asset.
