Job Overview Brick House Recovery Centre is a modern, physician-led, private outpatient addiction and mental health treatment program committed to delivering evidence-based, compassionate care. We offer individual therapy, outpatient detox, intensive outpatient programming (IOP), and aftercare, all grounded in a holistic, recovery-oriented approach and will soon be including Ketamine treatment for the use in medication-resistant depression and related mood disorders. We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our interdisciplinary mental health team, specializing in ketamine-assisted treatment for medication-resistant depression and related mood disorders. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about innovative, evidence-informed mental health care and patient-centered practice. The RN will play a key role in the assessment, preparation, administration, and monitoring of ketamine treatments, ensuring safety, therapeutic support, and continuity of care for clients who have not responded to traditional interventions. Key Responsibilities - Conduct pre-treatment nursing assessments, including medical history, vitals, and readiness for ketamine therapy - Safely administer ketamine treatments (e.g., IV, IM, or intranasal, as applicable) in accordance with medical directives, policies, and regulatory standards - Monitor clients during and post-treatment for physiological and psychological responses - Provide therapeutic presence, reassurance, and trauma-informed support throughout treatment sessions - Recognize and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies promptly and appropriately - Collaborate closely with physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, and allied health professionals - Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the clinical record - Educate clients and families on treatment expectations, aftercare, and safety considerations - Contribute to quality improvement, protocol development, and best-practice standards within the ketamine program - Provide assessments for clients wanting to access the Brick House Recovery Centre detox - Maintain a calm, professional, and supportive environment conducive to healing - Group facilitation of medically related topics Qualifications Required Quals - Current registration and in good standing as an RN or LPN with CARNA or CLPNA - A minimum of 2–3 years of nursing experience, preferably in mental health, psychiatry, emergency, anesthesia, critical care, or infusion therapy - Demonstrated interest or experience in ketamine-assisted therapy, interventional psychiatry, or innovative mental health treatments - Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities - Ability to remain calm and grounded in emotionally complex or high-intensity situations - Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally safe, and client-centered care - Current CPR/BLS certification (ACLS considered an asset) Preferred Qualifications - Experience with IV therapy or infusion-based treatments - Background in psychotherapy-informed care or working alongside therapists during treatment sessions - Familiarity with treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety, or chronic pain populations - Experience in outpatient, private clinic, or interdisciplinary care settings What We Offer - Opportunity to work at the forefront of innovative mental health treatment - Supportive, collaborative interdisciplinary team environment - Competitive compensation based on experience - Ongoing career development and learning opportunities Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ptcvr
