Flat Deck Driver/Warehouse (Kamloops)

Job description: Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team, responsible for transporting goods and materials, efficiently within warehouse and construction environments. This role offers an opportunity to work with various vehicles, ie: forklifts, 3 ton , 5 ton and flatdeck trucks, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products. The Driver will play a crucial role in supporting warehouse functions and managing frieght. Duties Operate equipment such as forklifts and trucks to load and unload materials safely Transport goods between warehouses, construction sites, and distribution centers Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Perform heavy lifting tasks as required for loading or unloading items Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas involving equipment operation Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely delivery and proper handling of goods Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure operational safety Skills Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation such as forklifts and 5 ton trucks Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently in warehouse settings Strong understanding of load & unload procedures Good communication skills for coordination with team members and supervisors Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking This position requires candidates to demonstrate mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, and experience operating various types of equipment. Applicants should be prepared for physically demanding tasks in agile environments that demand attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
