Learn more at: Role Overview We are looking for a highly systems-oriented Product Designer to lead the evolution of our application UI and design system in an AI-assisted product development environment. This role is not a traditional “pixel production” design role. Instead, the successful candidate will own and evolve the foundational design system, UI standards, component architecture, and UX patterns that power both human-designed and AI-generated application experiences. You will work closely with Product Management, Frontend Engineering, and AI-assisted development workflows to create scalable, accessible, consistent, and production-ready application interfaces. This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys: - building systems over one-off screens, - creating scalable component libraries, - enabling AI-assisted design and development workflows, - and collaborating deeply with engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Design System Ownership Own and evolve the company’s design system within Figma and frontend component libraries. Ensure consistency across all applications and platforms. Define and maintain: - design tokens, - typography systems, - color systems, - spacing scales, - responsive standards, - accessibility guidelines, - interaction patterns, - component standards. AI-Assisted Design Workflow Enablement - Structure and maintain design systems in a way that enables AI-assisted UI generation and design-to-code workflows. - Define governance standards for AI-generated UI components and layouts. - Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize workflows involving: AI-assisted prototyping, design-to-code generation, automated component generation and AI-enhanced frontend development tools. - Evaluate and implement emerging AI design tools and workflows. Application UI & UX Design - Design intuitive, scalable, enterprise-grade application interfaces. - Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and interaction flows. - Ensure interfaces align with usability, accessibility, and responsive design best practices. - Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into user-centered experiences. Engineering Collaboration - Partner closely with frontend developers to ensure accurate implementation of the design system. - Help bridge the gap between Figma components and production-ready frontend components. - Contribute to component naming conventions, documentation, and governance processes. - Participate in design reviews and frontend implementation reviews. Governance & Documentation - Establish processes for approving and evolving new UI patterns and components. - Maintain comprehensive documentation for: components, patterns, design tokens, accessibility requirements, and AI usage standards. Required Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UI Design, or Design Systems. - Solid experience building and maintaining scalable design systems in Figma. - Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS application design. - Experience collaborating closely with frontend engineering teams. - Deep understanding of: - responsive design, - accessibility (WCAG), - component-based UI architecture, - modern frontend workflows. - Experience designing reusable UI components and interaction patterns. - Strong UX thinking and systems-thinking mindset. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with AI-assisted design or design-to-code workflows. - Experience working with: Figma Dev Mode, Storybook, Tokens Studio, Tailwind CSS, and React component libraries. - Familiarity with AI tools such as: Figma AI, v0, Cursor, Claude, Builder.io, Midjourney, and ChatGPT. - Understanding of frontend development concepts and component implementation. - Experience working within agile product teams. What Success Looks Like Within the first 6–12 months, this role will: - Establish a scalable, AI-ready design system. - Improve consistency across application interfaces. - Reduce UI production time through AI-assisted workflows. - Improve collaboration between design and engineering. - Enable faster prototyping and frontend implementation. - Create governance processes for AI-generated UI components and assets. Annual salary range: $80,000–$90,000, commensurate with experience.
