Job Overview

A busy professional family in Quebec is looking for a full‑time caregiver for an elderly person. The caregiver will assist with meals, transfers in and out of a wheelchair, and bathroom needs. The position is permanent with 40 hours per week, 9:00 am–5:00 pm. Salary: $19 / hour, with two days off (usually Saturday and Sunday) but flexible scheduling may be required. The caregiver may stay with the employer at no additional cost and may also be responsible for housework and caring for children in the absence of legal representation of the elderly woman. Assist the elderly person with daily activities, including: Preparing meals Assisting with transfers to and from a wheelchair Helping with washroom and toileting needs Managing household chores as needed Providing care to children when required Qualifications

High school diploma completed 1–2 years of experience with elderly people or people with disabilities, or equivalent experience as a teacher, nurse, midwife, or psychologist Punctual, reliable, good judgment, sense of responsibility, strong interpersonal and organizational skills Experience with children is an advantage
