Job Overview We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and/or AI Instructor to teach students from Grade 7 to Grade 12 and academic levels at our Vancouver and Surrey locations. The ideal candidate is an expert in these subjects and possesses a talent for breaking down complex concepts into engaging and understandable lessons. You will be responsible for creating a positive learning atmosphere and delivering high-quality instruction that leads to student success. Responsibilities - Prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and/or AI to students in one-on-one or small group settings. - Develop customized learning plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each student. - Administer and grade assignments, tests, and practice exams to assess student progress and identify areas for improvement. - Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students and builds their confidence. - Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic progress and goals. - Keep detailed records of tutoring sessions and student performance. - Stay current with BC curriculum standards and innovative teaching methodologies. Experience - A bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related science field is required. - Proven experience in teaching or tutoring, with a strong ability to effectively teach one or more of the subjects. - Deep knowledge and passion for high school level Maths (e.g., Pre-Calculus, Calculus), Physics (e.g., AP Physics), and Chemistry (e.g., AP Chemistry). - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of all ages. - Patient, encouraging, and reliable, with a strong sense of professionalism. - Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles. - Previous experience with the BC curriculum and AP/IB coursework is a significant asset.
