Tandem Truck Driver (Okotoks)

Job Summary We are seeking a part time driver. Perfect for a retired person looking for extra work! Work with our other driver to decide schedule but 2 days a week and 3 days a week alternating Fridays is what we have been doing. This schedule is adaptable and can be decided during the hiring process. You would need to be a skilled and licensed Tandem Truck Driver for this position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a tandem truck to transport material to and from our various concrete project sites. We are based out of Okotoks but our work radius could take you as far as Airdrie or occasionally further. The majority of our work is in Calgary and the Foothills. Duties - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations - Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation of deliveries - Expected to keep truck - Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations - Communicate effectively with dispatchers - Receive direction from our team on what material you will be hauling and where it will be going Experience - Valid class 3 with Q endorsement or a class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record - Proven experience operating tandem trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles - This position offers an opportunity for professional growth within a dynamic transportation team, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and quality service delivery.
