Position: Senior Platform Administrator – Microsoft Entra Full‑time support – 40 hours per week – Information Technology Services – North Campus (hybrid, minimum 4 days on site). Payband: K Salary range: $47.13 – $54.48 per hour Key Responsibilities - Manage user profiles, security configurations, and data sharing rules while maintaining and evolving cloud‑based digital identity solutions in alignment with product goals and roadmap priorities. - Configure and optimize Microsoft Entra solutions through policies, workflows, and automation to enhance user experience and platform effectiveness. - Integrate Microsoft Entra ID with external applications, ensuring alignment with Humber’s digital identity standards and seamless interoperability across the product ecosystem. - Develop and maintain clear system documentation, user enablement materials, and deliver training sessions that support adoption and effective use of the product. - Execute feature testing, coordinate seasonal releases, and support system upgrades to ensure digital identity services remain resilient, reliable, and aligned with business continuity requirements. - Partner with application owners and stakeholders to expand use cases, resolve issues, and continuously enhance the platform through product‑driven improvements. - Support adoption and effective use of identity services through configuration, optimization, and user enablement. - Monitor platform performance and usage, identifying opportunities for improvement and collaborating with Product Owners to prioritize enhancements. - Work within a product management model, supporting Product Owners by ensuring platform configurations, changes, and enhancements are technically sound and aligned with platform and architectural standards. About You Passionate about working at Ontario’s largest Polytechnic; thrives on improving productivity and quality that contribute to team success. Education A three‑year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Continued education in Information Technology or equivalent experience is required. Experience / Skills - At least five years of hands‑on experience in large, complex environments designing, building, operating, maintaining, and securing enterprise‑class solutions. - Proven experience administering Microsoft Entra, including Workforce and External ID, with a robust understanding of identity lifecycle management, access governance, and security best practices. - Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform administration, with particular expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Entra ID for Workforce, and Entra External ID. - Strong understanding of identity and access management principles, including authentication, authorization, lifecycle management, role‑based access control, and conditional access. - Experience administering enterprise identity platforms, including user, group, role, and access management in complex organizational environments. - Experience troubleshooting and resolving identity, authentication, provisioning, and access‑related issues, including root‑cause analysis and coordination with technical and business stakeholders as required. - Knowledge of identity governance, access policies, and security best practices to support stable, secure, and sustainable platform operations. - Experience monitoring platform health, reviewing incidents and service requests, and supporting operational processes to ensure service reliability and performance. - Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, operational procedures, support materials, and knowledge articles. - Experience providing user support, guidance, and training related to identity services, access processes, and platform capabilities. - Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and its integration with identity services across enterprise applications and services. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues, recommend practical solutions, and identify opportunities to improve user experience and operational effectiveness. - Knowledge of reporting, auditing, and compliance practices related to identity and access administration. - Familiarity with Power Platform administration or administration of related Microsoft cloud platforms is considered an asset. - Understanding of higher education data landscapes is considered an asset.
