Turbomachinery CAD Designer for Rockets (Toronto)

Join a cutting-edge launch vehicle company as a Turbomachinery CAD Designer focused on high-thrust liquid rocket engines. This role involves translating mechanical designs into ready-for-production hardware definitions. You will support the development of turbopump and rotating hardware by creating detailed 3D CAD models and production-ready 2D drawings. Your responsibilities include running tolerance stack-ups and collaborating with various internal teams to ensure manufacturability, inspectability, and documentation compliance. Key Responsibilities: • Own 3D CAD models for turbopump hardware • Create 2D drawings including GD&T; schemes • Run tolerance stack-ups for various operational environments • Challenge design features to propose manufacturable alternatives • Support diverse manufacturing processes including CNC and welding Requirements: • Technical degree in mechanical design or equivalent • 9+ years in precision mechanical hardware • Advanced CAD skills, ideally with Siemens NX • Solid knowledge of GD&T; and ISO GPS • Experience with FEA and manufacturing tolerance studies Elevate your career in turbomachinery design while contributing to advanced aerospace projects.
