The Director, Talent & Learning is the primary architect of the GTAA’s “Learning Organization” and builds enterprise capability and leadership depth that enables the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) to deliver on its strategic priorities, including large-scale infrastructure growth and the evolution toward a digitally enabled airport. A “stakeholder savvy” leader, the Director, Talent & Learning designs, owns, and optimizes an integrated enterprise learning and leadership development ecosystem that strengthens organizational performance, readiness and resilience. As a senior advisor on the organization’s most critical talent needs, this role partners with executives and leaders to translate strategy into scalable talent, learning and organizational development solutions. Own and drive the enterprise talent development and leadership strategy aligned to long-term business and transformation agendas. Design future-focused capability frameworks tailored to infrastructure expansion, digital enablement, and evolving operational models. Partner with senior leaders to assess change readiness and support initiatives for major technology and infrastructure transformations. Manage enterprise performance management practices and tools, ensuring they are effectively embedded to realize desired outcomes. Hold a minimum undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Adult Education; a Master’s degree is preferred. Possess at least 8+ years of progressive professional experience in talent, learning, and/or organizational development. Show proven transformation expertise by supporting large-scale initiatives and modernizing learning ecosystems using digital platforms. Maintain advanced subject matter expertise in leadership development, organizational development, and adult learning principles. Apply technical and analytical literacy by leveraging learning technologies and data to inform strategic investment decisions. Possess professional designations such as a CHRL, OD, or executive coaching-related accreditation. Ability to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance.
