Description
MHFE - Vineyards 1730 Mission Hill Rd West Kelowna, BC V4T2E4, CAN
At Iconic Wineries of British Columbia, we believe great wine is grown, not made. In the Okanagan Valley—one of the world’s most exciting wine regions—our vineyards are farmed with precision, care, and respect for the land. Every vintage reflects a balance of nature, science, and craftsmanship.
We are seeking a
Vineyard Foreman
who is passionate about viticulture and eager to build a long-term career in vineyard management. This is a
hands‑on, field‑based role
where you’ll work alongside an experienced team, develop technical expertise, and take on increasing responsibility over time.
This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to premium vineyard operations in a progressive, sustainability‑focused environment.
About the Role Reporting to the Vineyard Manager, you will support the day‑to‑day execution of vineyard operations across our premium estate vineyards at Naramata Ranch. You’ll play an active role in field work, team coordination, and learning best‑in‑class viticulture practices.
This role is ideal for someone looking to step into leadership while continuing to build strong technical vineyard skills.
What You’ll Do
Work hands‑on in the vineyard across all seasonal activities: planting, pruning, canopy management, irrigation, pest management, and harvest
Support the coordination of daily vineyard tasks, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
Assist in guiding and mentoring vineyard crew members, leading by example in the field
Learn and apply irrigation scheduling, crop monitoring, and vine health assessment techniques
Operate vineyard machinery (tractors, sprayers, ATVs) with a focus on safety and precision
Work closely with the Viticulture and Technical teams to execute work plans
Contribute to accurate record‑keeping, including timesheets, vineyard inputs, and production tracking systems
Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and teamwork in all vineyard activities
What We’re Looking For
2-4 years of vineyard or agriculture experience (or relevant education with practical exposure)
A genuine passion for viticulture and winegrowing, with a desire to grow into a leadership role
Hands‑on experience with vineyard tasks such as pruning, canopy work, irrigation, or harvest
Basic experience operating vineyard equipment (tractor experience an asset; training provided)
Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Valid driver’s license; willingness to obtain certifications (e.g., pesticide applicator, first aid)
Why Join Us? At Iconic Wineries of British Columbia, we invest in people as much as we invest in vineyards. You’ll be part of a collaborative, skilled team committed to producing world‑class wines and advancing the reputation of the Okanagan Valley on the global stage.
What We Offer
Competitive hourly wage starting at
$27.00 , with progression opportunities
Structured training and development to support your career in viticulture
Exposure to premium vineyard sites and modern, sustainable farming practices
Company‑matched RRSP contributions
Extended health, dental, and mental wellness benefits
Paid time off
Staff discounts across our estate wineries
Access to industry‑leading learning programs and career pathways within our organization
