As a Senior Electrical Engineering Team Lead with us, you will play a key role in our projects, bringing your experience and technical expertise to the table. Your responsibilities will include overseeing and guiding the electrical design team and processes, bringing innovative ideas to our team and our clients, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices and developing business relationships. You will take a lead role in mentoring junior engineers, sharing your expertise, and innovation, contributing to the continuous advancement of our team and project management. A Glimpse into Your Daily Role Project Management & Design: - Proficient management of a range of multidisciplinary projects, catering to both public and private sector clients, with a particular focus on the electrical facet of these projects. - Contribution of your technical expertise across many multidisciplinary projects, encompassing the full process of project design from pre-design through construction. - Working with design and production staff to prepare contract documents and specifications. - Working alongside contract administration team members oversee contract administration. Business Development: - Nurturing and cultivating client relationships while actively engaging in business development, report creation, and presentation delivery. Learning & Development: - Offering valuable technical guidance to junior electrical professionals, including engineers and technologists. - Actively participating in professional associations and committees - Staying current with industry trends and advancements by attending educational workshops and fostering personal networks. - Playing an integral role in advancing technical and professional leadership within our firm. Qualifications—Your Path to Success: - Drive to create and develop new initiatives, applying innovative solutions. - Possession of a degree in electrical engineering, or a diploma in electrical engineering technology combined with significant advanced experience. - Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or an Engineering Licensee (Eng. L.) with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba (EGM), or a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation with CTTAM. - A proven professional background spanning over 10 years in relevant roles. Experience - A history marked by success and expertise in both project management and business development. - A track record of leading teams of technical professionals on multifaceted projects. - Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Expertise in various domains, including: - Medium and low voltage distribution. - Motor protection and control. - Emergency power generation. - Load calculations. - Lighting design. - Fire alarm systems. - Security systems. - Communications infrastructure. - Audio/visual design. - Lightning protection. - Grounding and bonding. - Hazardous area classification. - A history of providing in office services, covering: - Comprehensive condition assessments. - Diligent construction observation and inspection. - Thorough start-up and commissioning processes.
