Position Summary Senior Physical Design Engineer – implementation of complex digital blocks in advanced process nodes (3nm) to drive timing closure, power integrity, and physical verification for high‑performance ASICs. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside world‑class scientists and engineers in defining system optimization and tackling novel photonics challenges. Responsibilities Implement digital blocks from synthesis through physical verification, using industry‑standard tools and flows. Understand and debug timing constraints, derates, and margins; review sign‑off STA reports and fix timing violations for all scenarios. Build and customize power grid to meet power integrity goals. Understand clock details and customize clock implementation for functional and test clocks. Debug and clean up DRC/LVS, functional, and timing ECO implementation; produce manual layouts when required and learn silicon photonics layout. Work with EDA vendors to resolve tool issues. Write TCL, Python, or Shell scripts to automate or customize existing flows. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. At least 8+ years of industry experience as a Physical Design Engineer. Completed blocks or top‑level physical design for large ASICs or mixed‑signal chips that have taped out. Thorough knowledge of timing closure, LVS/DRC closure. Experience with TCL and Python (or other scripting languages). Robust teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with multiple functional teams. Ability to react to change and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Hands‑on experience with Cadence tools. Tape‑out experience on 3nm designs.
