Technical Expert Contractor – Engineering – Electrical Systems Integration Responsibilities: Participate and lead Electrical Systems technical improvements & developments for existing and future airplane programs (optimize architectures, incorporate recent technologies, etc.). Prepare, review or approve engineering documents related to electrical system changes on our Challenger 3500/650 and Global 5500/6500/7500/8000 airplanes (production + in‑service aircraft). Propose, elaborate, and test novel approaches to optimize business aircraft on aspects such as emissions reduction, costs, weight, performance, and customer satisfaction. Lead technical investigations related to electrical or lighting systems. Conduct trade studies associated with current technology introduction and integration on aircraft. Contribute to the Electrical Knowledge Domain by capturing lessons learned and best industry practices (product & process) and mentoring/guiding junior members. Manage interfaces with internal and external partners and suppliers for technical aspects. Represent the Electrical discipline with internal and external collaborators. Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering. Minimum of 15 years in aircraft electrical system integration or related experience. Deep knowledge of industry standards (RTCA/DO-160, SAE, MIL-STD, etc.) and airworthiness regulations (TCCA, FAA, EASA). Strong analytical and systems‑thinking skills. Effective communication skills, tailoring technical concepts and project updates to diverse audiences and articulating status and risks to stakeholders at all levels. Leadership capability and motivation to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Position Details Location: Bombardier Montréal, Québec or Bombardier Toronto, Ontario.
