Description
Business Development Engineer Responsible for generating design proposals for connectors and creating cost matrices for both recent and existing programs. Requires comprehensive understanding of ACC’s product lines and capabilities and the ability to provide technical support to field sales and internal personnel. Responsibilities Develop and present design proposals to customers. Review and interpret customer specifications to ensure alignment with product capabilities. Prepare cost analyses and present recommendations to management for informed decision-making. Lead the launch of new programs or products across teams to ensure successful rollout. Collaborate closely with marketing, engineering, purchasing, and new program coordinators to support business objectives. Travel with the sales team to build relationships and drive business growth within the region. Identify, evaluate and pursue opportunities in new markets or with potential customers for both existing and new products. Qualifications Engineering degree. 3–5 years of relevant experience. Proficient in MS Office and design software (SolidWorks or other 3D modeling tools). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic understanding of cost and pricing. Ability to travel internationally as needed. Confidence in giving presentations. Preferred Qualifications Experience in connector design, including mechanical/electrical requirements, materials, and manufacturing processes. Background in mechanical engineering or mechanical technologist with experience applying engineering principles to product development. Salary and Benefits Base salary range: $75,000 – $90,000 annually.
