Location: Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Elementary School Address: 35 Saffron Crescent, Etobicoke, ON M9C 3T8 Component: Before & After School Program – Kindergarten Age Children Total Hours Per Day: 5 (split shift) Hourly Wage: $26.85 plus hourly Provincial Wage Enhancement if applicable – rate increased based on number of staff supervised and RECE status Program Director – Before School and After School Program PLASP Child Care Services is a charitable, not‑for‑profit organization dedicated to high‑quality early learning and child care for children up to 12 years of age. We operate in more than 240 schools and 38 full‑day centres across Ontario. The Position The successful candidate will provide a full range of duties, including: Establishing and maintaining a safe, warm and caring setting for an extended day program. Planning, developing, and implementing age‑appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and intellectual well‑being in accordance with the Child Care Early Years Act (CCEYA), How Does Learning Happen? (HDLH), and PLASP guidelines. Budgeting and ordering food, preparing nutritious breakfast and snacks following the Canada Food Guide and the rotational snack planner. Supervising and training staff, volunteers, and student volunteers on placement, providing strong leadership, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills, and conducting regular performance appraisals. Handling all administrative tasks for the program, including registration, record‑keeping, health and safety monitoring, and ordering supplies. Operating programs according to Ministry of Education (MEDU) standards and ensuring the CCEYA licence remains valid. Participating fully in P.A. Days, providing safe and reliable care on and off school premises. Preferred Candidate Minimum 3 years of experience in child care and community service, with supervision experience preferred. Knowledge of the Child Care Early Years Act (CCEYA) and Ministry of Education licensing requirements. ECE degree/diploma and registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE). Valid Standard First Aid Certificate and Level C CPR. Valid Criminal Reference Check – Vulnerable Sector. All health requirements (immunizations) met in accordance with CCEYA and the Medical Officer of Health. Benefits A positive, fun and supportive working environment.
